چکیده
Nearly 0.065-0.33 billion people suffer from ear infections leading to loss of hearing in 60% them. As the middle is close proximity brain, can lead intracranial complications. Inappropriate use antibiotics these situations multi drug resistant bacterial strains. Hence, knowledge commonest bacteria causing along with its susceptibility pattern remains a key unravel void left otological microbiome. : Aretrospective analysis samples obtained were analyzed for period 4 months (2019) at Department Microbiology, SRIHER using Hospital information system. The results microbiological profile and their tabulated statistically analyzed. Out 325 enrolled, 302 grew pathogens(GPC:122,GNB:186, Fungi:17 & 23 them more than 1 pathogen). pathogens were: Pseudomonas aeruginosa 41.8%, Staphylococcus aureus 27.6%, CONS 7.6%, Klebsiella pneumoniae 4.6%, Proteus species 4.6%,Candida 3.3%, Streptococcus 2.2%,Escherichia coli 1.8%, Aspergillus Acinetobacter 1.2%, Enterobacter Citrobacter 0.9%, Morganella 0.6%, Providencia 0.3%. Multi-drug-resistant strains seen 17 GNB 9.1%(n=186), predominantly 8.8%(n=136). Methicillin resistance among was 22%(n=115), 64%(n=25). Pan-drug not reported. Based on our study, total 43(13.2%) isolates MDR strains, hence it imperative do culture sensitivity efficacious management, thereby reducing further

Neonatal septicemia continues to be one of the commonest causes of neonatal mortality and morbidity despite advances in healthcare. Neonatal sepsis may be categorized as early onset sepsis (EOS) or late onset (LOS) according to time of onset of the disease. Presence of risk factors such as low birth weight or preterm baby, febrile illness in the mother 2 weeks prior to delivery, foul smelling o...
